Design guidelines

Artwork, sorted

Follow these simple rules and your print will come out exactly as you expect. Download a free template for your size to get it right first time.

  • File type

    A print-ready PDF is safest. JPG, PNG, TIFF, AI and EPS files are fine too.

  • Size & bleed

    Set up your file at the artwork size below: the finished size plus 3mm bleed on every edge. Extend backgrounds into the bleed so there are no white edges after cutting.

  • Safe area

    Keep text, logos and anything important at least 40mm inside the trim line.

  • Resolution

    Images should be 150dpi at full size. Use original photos: screenshots and images sent through WhatsApp print soft and blurry.

  • Colour

    Use CMYK for the most accurate colour. RGB files are converted for print, and very bright colours can look a little duller.

  • Text & fonts

    Set your headline at 70pt or bigger so it reads from across a hall. Nothing should be smaller than 6pt.

  • Made in Canva or Word?

    In Canva choose Download > PDF Print and tick “Crop marks and bleed”. From Word, use Save as PDF.

  • We check every file

    A real person checks your artwork before printing and will contact you if anything could cause a problem. We don’t proofread spelling, so please check your text.

Which stand should I choose?

The print is identical on all three. Economy is light and simple for occasional use. Standard Plus has a sturdier base and a smoother roll for regular events. Premium has a wide, heavy base for daily use in busy places.

Will the bottom of my design be hidden?

No. The whole 2000mm you design is visible. We add the extra length that disappears into the base when we print.

How do I set it up?

Put the pole together, slot it into the base, pull the graphic up and hook it on top. It packs back into the carry bag just as quickly.

Can I get one printed today?

Yes. The 800 x 2000mm banner with the Economy stand has a same-day option. Choose Same Day Collection or Same Day Delivery (Manchester).

When will I get my roller banners?

Choose Same Day Collection or Same Day Delivery (Manchester) and have your artwork approved before 7:00pm on a working day, and we print it that day. 3 Working Days and 5 Working Days are delivered by DPD. The estimated delivery date box above shows the exact date for every option before you order.

I ordered after 7:00pm or at the weekend. When will it arrive?

We start on the next working day, so every date moves forward by a day. For example, an order placed on Friday evening or at the weekend starts on Monday. The dates in the delivery box are always up to date.

What sizes do you do?

You can order 800mm x 2000mm, 1000mm x 2000mm, 1200mm x 2000mm, 1500mm x 2000mm online. Need a different size? Send us a message and we will quote for it.

Do I need to add bleed?

Yes, please add 3mm on every edge and keep text and logos 40mm inside the trim. Our free templates above already include both. If your file has no bleed, we will check it and let you know the options.

What file format is best?

A print-ready PDF at the artwork size. We also accept JPG, PNG, TIFF, AI and EPS. CMYK gives the most accurate colour.

What resolution should my artwork be?

150dpi at full size. Use original images, not screenshots or photos that have been compressed by WhatsApp or social media.

Will you check my artwork?

Yes. A real person checks every file and contacts you before printing if anything looks risky, such as low-resolution images or text too close to the edge.

Can I design it in Canva?

Yes. Set your Canva design to the artwork size above, then choose Download > PDF Print with “Crop marks and bleed” ticked.

Do you have templates?

Yes. Download a free PDF template for each size in the design guidelines above.

Can I collect my order?

Yes. Choose Collection in the delivery box and we will message you as soon as it is ready.

A pull-up banner (also called a roller banner) puts your brand in front of people at exhibitions, receptions, shops and events. The printed graphic rolls into a lightweight aluminium base, so it travels in its bag and stands up in seconds.
